How is sugar beet alcohol made?

After harvesting, the beets are washed and soaked in hot water to extract the sugar, which is then purified and crystallised. The leftover syrup, known as molasses from sugar beets, is fermented and distilled.

This is a key step in beet sugar processing, as it makes the alcohol purer and more concentrated. The result is high-quality alcohol from sugar beets, which is prized for its neutral odour and colour, making it ideal for various industrial and commercial applications.
