Applications of fusel oil
Fusel oil and its individual alcohols are used in a wide variety of industries. These are some of the most common applications:
Lacquer production
- Used as a high-boiling-point solvent for industrial coatings and finishes.
Fuel and pesticide blends

Fruit flavourings
- Isoamyl alcohol, with its banana-like aroma, is used as a solvent in food flavourings.
