What is sugar beet ethanol?

Sugar beet alcohol is a premium-grade alcohol made from sugar beet. Our neutral beet alcohol has almost no taste or smell and is 96% pure, which makes it suitable for a wide range of applications. Unlike sugarcane, which is typically cultivated in tropical climates, sugar beet thrives in temperate regions and is predominantly grown in Europe. It's considered a sustainable crop as it requires less water and land while producing high yields.

How is sugar beet alcohol made?

After harvesting, the beets are washed and soaked in hot water to extract the sugar, which is then purified and crystallised. The leftover syrup, known as molasses from sugar beets, is fermented and distilled.

This is a key step in beet sugar processing, as it makes the alcohol purer and more concentrated. The result is high-quality alcohol from sugar beets, which is prized for its neutral odour and colour, making it ideal for various industrial and commercial applications.
