For food distributors, the BRC Global Standard (BRCGS) for Storage and Distribution is the more relevant standard, designed specifically to ensure best practices in the handling, storage, and distribution of products. This standard complements the BRCGS for Food Safety, targeting the segment of the supply chain that deals with the products after they leave the production facility but before they reach the retail outlets or food service providers.
