Job description

About the role and key responsibilities

As Commercial Manager/Trader, you are responsible for the purchase and sale of ethanol in Europe. You develop your own budget and market strategy, constantly seeking out new sales and growth opportunities in various EU markets. Your main goal is to generate favourable business relationships with ethanol suppliers, customers, and other partners You will be part of a supportive team of commercial managers, with whom you can discuss opportunities, challenges and ideas. And backed by our excellent logistics team, you will make sure to get the most out of Nedstar’s activities in your target market. Your home office is in the heart of old Amsterdam, but 20-30% of your time will be spent visiting customers and suppliers.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain existing business relationships with customers and suppliers in your target markets.
  • Generate new leads in European and international markets.
  • Support our commercial team in reaching Nedstar’s commercial goals by strengthening our market position and expanding into new niche markets.
  • Work with our logistics team to deliver your customers’ ethanol products directly to their doorstep.

Your profile

As a Nedstar Commercial Manager, you are a strategic thinker and dynamic self-starter in the continuous search of new business opportunities to improve and expand our market position. You are results-focused, ambitious, and committed to achieving and surpassing your and Nedstar’s goals. You love travelling and feel comfortable working with young professionals in an informal yet dynamic international B2B trade setting. Socially intelligent with strong communication skills, you’re a natural when building long-term relationships and closing deals.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree
  • Proficient in English, German on native or fluent level
  • Previous relevant work experience in the commercial field is beneficial
  • Strong numeracy and abstract thinking skills
  • Persuasive and strong negotiation skills
  • Analytical, sharp, and precise
  • Adaptable people person who is capable of building and maintaining long-term relationships
  • Team player
