Job description

Are you looking to build hands-on experience across both marketing and sales? At Nedstar, our marketing and commercial teams work closely together, and this role reflects just that. We’re looking for an ambitious and proactive intern to join our Marketing team.

You'll support content production, social media management, sales outreach and lead generation, help optimise commercial processes, assist in website management, CRM management, and much more. If this sounds like your kind of challenge, Nedstar might just be the place for you! This is an on-site position based at our office in Amsterdam.

About the role and key responsibilities

As a marketing intern, you will be an integral part of our marketing team while working closely with our commercial department. Marketing at Nedstar supports sales, which means your work will directly contribute to the commercial success of the company. You’ll get the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with business development, CRM tools like HubSpot, content production, event management and the day-to-day operations of a global trading company.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing content creation and distribution channels, particularly for social media, email, and the website, focused on ethanol-related products and services.
  • Helping to plan and coordinate industry events and commercial fairs.
  • Business development: Supporting our commercial team with outreach efforts, and lead qualification, data enrichment, and reporting within HubSpot (no prior experience needed).
  • Collaborating with other teams to ensure all marketing materials align with Nedstar’s brand positioning.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc marketing and sales enablement tasks that match your strengths and interests.

What we are looking for

  • HBO or university student currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, economics, or a related field.
  • This is an on-site opportunity for six months, starting as soon as possible.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of a second language, such as French, Spanish, German, or Dutch is a plus.
  • A true NedSTAR: a flexible, adaptable team player with a work-hard/play-hard mindset.
  • Proactive, organised, and eager to take initiative.
  • Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Willingness to learn tools like HubSpot, Canva, Craft, and Trello.

What is in it for you?

  • Hands-on experience in a fast-growing company operating in a dynamic global industry.
  • Close mentorship and collaboration with both marketing and commercial colleagues.
  • A flexible and open company culture that values work-life balance, including fun team activities.
  • Exposure to international business development practices and CRM tools.
  • Real responsibilities that make a real impact, starting from day one.
